Practical Logistics Solutions for Food & Beverage – Review of the SBP Seminar 2026 in Bremen

Our SBP Seminar 2026: A thoroughly successful event!

On January 21 and 22, 2026, this year’s SBP Seminar took place at the ATLANTIC Hotel Universum in Bremen under the title “Practice-Oriented Logistics Solutions for Food & Beverage.” The seminar offered participants from industry, retail, and logistics the opportunity for professional exchange, discussion of current challenges, and hands-on insights into modern logistics solutions.

Following the welcome address by Jörg Schulte, the focus of the first day was the logistics strategy of Kreyenhop & Kluge GmbH. The company provided fascinating insights into its 90-year success story and demonstrated how Asian and Oriental food products are now distributed across Europe with high service quality and smart IT solutions. Building on this, the seminar presented a practical overview of the path from developing a future-ready logistics strategy to commissioning a new greenfield logistics site.

A particular highlight of the first day was the visit to the Kreyenhop & Kluge logistics center in Oyten. On site, participants gained detailed insights into warehouse processes, deployed technologies, and the multi-shift operations of a modern food logistics facility.

The second day of the seminar focused entirely on automation, warehouse technology, and IT. Expert presentations on high-performance material flow systems, innovative narrow-aisle solutions, efficiency improvements in outbound logistics, and the use of modern packaging technology highlighted concrete optimization potentials. The program was complemented by a practical report on warehouse management with ProStore, as well as the topic of warehouse tuning in the beverage and brewery sector, illustrated by the example of Zillertal Bier—a successful balance between tradition and innovation.

At the conclusion of the seminar, attention turned to future technologies. The presentation on “Alternative Drives in Transport Logistics” generated considerable interest among participants.

The seminar was rounded off by numerous opportunities for personal exchange and networking, including the evening event at Universum® Bremen.

The SBP Seminar 2026 impressively demonstrated how strategy, technology, organization, and IT can be successfully integrated to future-proof logistics sites. We would like to thank all speakers, participants, and partners for two intensive and inspiring seminar days in Bremen.
