Exchange, Awards, and Summer Celebration – A Look Back at the German Brewers' Day 2025
SBP is a member of Forum Bier e.V. within the German Brewers Association (Deutscher Brauer-Bund). This affiliation gave Jörg Schulte the opportunity to attend the German Brewers' Day 2025 in Berlin last week – one of the key industry gatherings for the German brewing sector.
The Kulturbrauerei in Prenzlauer Berg provided a fantastic backdrop for engaging conversations, a successful awards ceremony at the Palais, and the traditional Brewers' Evening in the courtyard. Anke Rehlinger, Minister-President of Saarland, was appointed the new Beer Ambassador, taking over this honorary position from CDU Secretary General Dr. Carsten Linnemann.
Particularly impressive was the strong turnout, with around 500 participants, including many colleagues from breweries, industry award winners, and numerous representatives from the federal government, the Bundestag, business, academia, associations, and the media.
The next morning, Forum Bier e.V. hosted a Political Breakfast at the Representation of Lower Saxony, where CDU Deputy Parliamentary Group Leader Albert Stegemann gave a compelling address on Germany’s challenging economic situation. He emphasized the need to prioritize performance and capability, ensure improvements in digital infrastructure and transportation networks, and achieve meaningful reductions in bureaucracy.
