From March 3 to 5, 2026, the 27th VLB Logistics Congress took place at the Stadthalle Meschede. Organized by the Research and Teaching Institute for Brewing in Berlin (VLB), the congress is considered one of the most important industry events for logistics in the beverage sector, bringing together numerous specialists and executives from the DACH region every year.
We from SBP were once again represented on-site with our team, taking the opportunity to exchange ideas with industry partners, customers, and exhibitors about current developments in beverage logistics.
Trade Exhibition as an Industry Meeting Point
The congress was accompanied by a trade exhibition in the foyer of the Stadthalle Meschede. Here, numerous companies presented their solutions and innovations in the areas of logistics, automation, and transport in the beverage industry. The exhibition provided an ideal setting for in-depth conversations, new contacts, and discussions about current challenges and trends in the industry. As a long-standing supporter of the "LoFaKo," we were once again on board as exhibitors.
Topics such as automation, sustainable logistics solutions, and efficient returnable and empty container processes were at the center of many conversations.
Exciting Insights During Company Tours
A particular highlight of the supporting program were the exclusive company tours at HOPPECKE Batterien GmbH & Co. KG and the brewery C. & A. VELTINS GmbH & Co. KG.
At HOPPECKE, participants gained fascinating insights into the production of modern energy storage solutions and their significance for industrial applications and logistics processes.
At the Veltins brewery, the focus was primarily on internal logistics. Particularly impressive was the highly automated empty container sorting system, which demonstrates how modern technology and efficient processes work together in the beverage industry.
Exchange, Inspiration, and New Contacts
In addition to the presentation program and the tours, the congress offered numerous networking opportunities — such as the get-together in the trade exhibition or the joint evening program at the impressive H1 venue directly on the Hennesee.
For us, the VLB Logistics Congress was once again an extremely valuable platform for following current industry developments, gaining new inspiration, and deepening personal exchanges with partners and customers.
