Locations - Leibinger Getränke Service GmbH with a New Logistics Center in Baienfurt–Niederbiegen

Leibinger Getränke Service GmbH is one of the largest beverage wholesalers in the Lake Constance region, supplying gastronomy, hospitality, businesses, gas stations, and retail

With over 1,500 products and its own modern fleet of 25 trucks, the company is well-equipped to supply its customers

At the old location in Lindau, the increased range of products and higher turnover volume could no longer be managed, so a new logistics center had to be planned. Through cooperation with the traditional Leibinger brewery in Ravensburg, a suitable location was quickly found: the beverage distribution center in Niederbiegen was expanded to become the new branch of Leibinger Getränke Service GmbH.

Our challenge - New layout and integration of processes

To plan the layout, the brewery's products had to be integrated into the existing product range of the beverage wholesaler. It was equally challenging to incorporate the brewery’s own logistics activities into the processes of a beverage wholesaler (GFGH).

Key tasks included:

  • Merging two product ranges
  • Conducting a feasibility study for the new location
  • Defining new processes and workflows
  • Planning a new layout
  • Overseeing implementation until the new location was operational

Our Solution - Build, design, optimize, and implement

Through the construction of a new rack warehouse and loading area, the capacity was increased to more than 5,000 m² of covered logistics space.

  • Optimized inventory levels by analyzing and revising stock metrics, based on best-practice values from SBP's own benchmark database
  • Incentive introduction: In the final phase, the system is explained to employees, appropriate software is installed, and timely monitoring of results for later fine-tuning is set up
  • Successful implementation of demand-oriented processes in the areas of goods receipt, picking, staging, and loading

Our Solution - By moving to the new logistics center in Baienfurt, Leibinger Getränke Service GmbH has realized

  • the necessary storage capacities
  • more efficient processes and increased productivity
  • the continuation of the high service level their customers expect
