Organization - Parador Introduces a Bonus Wage System in the Warehouse Area

Parador, a renowned manufacturer of floor and wall design solutions, has introduced a premium pay system in its warehouse operations in collaboration with Schulte Berater und Planer. The company, based in Coesfeld, Germany, and with additional production in Güssing, Austria, offers around 2,000 products, including laminate, parquet, resilient floor coverings, and decorative panels for walls and ceilings. Parador distinguishes itself with high product quality and unique design, regularly winning international design awards for its premium products.

In collaboration with Schulte Berater + Planer, Parador is restructuring the compensation system for its warehouse employees. This has not only led to cost savings through productivity increases

Our challenge - Employee satisfaction and productivity improvement

Previously, the company used a time-based wage system with industry-standard bonuses for overtime and special work hours. 

The goal of changing to a premium pay system was to significantly boost employee productivity whilst improving work quality and satisfaction.

Our solution - Establish a data basis, develop a bonus, and implement the bonus

The introduction of the premium pay system took place in three phases:

 

  • Premium readiness: Establishing a data foundation to assess processes, potentials, and productivity whilst determining the savings potential
  • Premium implementation: The system was explained to the employees, the appropriate software was installed, and time monitoring was set up for future fine-tuning
  • Premium development: Selecting the optimal system, tailored to Parador’s specific conditions. A combination of productivity and quality bonuses proved most effective for maximizing the potential identified in phase one

     

Our result - The introduction of the premium pay system, with components focused on productivity and quality, led to
